Misfit WEARABLE activity trackers

I had the opportunity to work at Misfit while it was still a startup which means I had to wear many hats. Worked on a small cross disciplinary team to scale electromechanical systems to reliable production. Help bring up a new type of fitness and fashion wearable.

Misfit shine 2

  • My key deliverable as a Design Engineer are summarized by the following

  • Designed all CNC enclosures and cosmetics surfaces for wearable shine 2 wearable device.

  • Lead the design on implementing a Nano mold technologies co mold on the Shine 2 housing.

  • Owned design work streams for many mechanical components including

  • Injection molded plastic components for a range of parts

  • Worked the with local and overseas prototype suppliers to build check models and validate designs.

  • About 30% global travel to engage with manufacturing and CM's.

Misfit ray

  • Helped manage original design manufacturers to drive design solutions for key components of the Misfit Ray.

  • Traveled to China to oversee engineering builds.

  • Established design integrity through tolerance analysis, manufacturing specification creation, and manufacturing fixture creation

  • Developed reliability and cosmetic specifications for NPI and sustaining project while also handling delivery logistics.
